Today Universal Orlando Resort has announced today that Illumination’s Villain-Con Minion Blast is set to be coming to Universal Studios Florida in the summer of 2023. Illumination’s Villain-Con Minion Blast is going to be located in the old Shrek 4D location at the park.
The new ride will have an interactive blaster game experience that will have guests competing to join The Vicious 6. With blasters at the ready, guests will step onto a moving pathway that will take them around different show scenes. Guests will earn points by blasting a variety of objects placed around each show scene. The attraction will combine screen technology, gaming interactivity, and physical sets.
Villain-Con Minion Blast is set to join Despicable Me Minion Mayhem and a new Minion-themed Cafe in an all-new Minion-themed land coming to the park.
