Following the announcement from Orange County Florida that masks are no longer mandatory outside, Walt Disney World Resort will no longer require it’s guests to wear a Face mask outdoors in their theme parks. The new rule goes into effect beginning May 15 2021.
Face coverings are required for all Guests (ages 2 and up) and Cast Members. Please bring your own face coverings and wear them in all indoor locations, except when actively eating or drinking while stationary and maintaining appropriate physical distancing. Face coverings are optional in outdoor common areas at Walt Disney World Resort, but are still required upon entering and throughout all attractions, theaters and transportation.

So Masks will be required Indoors in merchandise locations, on Attractions and in queue lines, in show venues and theatres and on any Walt Disney World Resort Transportation. Below is a table from the Walt Disney World Website which shows you where you can and can not remove your face covering.

Disney has also sent out an in app push notifications telling guests about the new guidelines that are set to begin tomorrow (May 15 2021). Disney also said that if you are inside eating or drinking you will still have to be stationary.

Of Course at the Walt Disney World Resort Water Parks Face Masks are not permitted whilst in the water or on one of the water slides at the water park.
